The pinoy music we all love!

"Metro Station," a band formed in late 2006, is best known for their top 10 billboard hit single "Shake It" from their self-titled debut album. In the Philippines, this song is used as the jingle of the TV commercial for a popular orange juice drink.

The band is composed of Trace Cyrus on vocals and guitar (who is also half-brother of Hanna Montana star Miley Cyrus), Mason Musso on vocals and guitar, Blake Healy on keyboards and synth and Anthony Improgo on percussion-who is actually Pinoy.

NU 107 will be holding their 15th NU 107 Rock Awards at Silvery, Frontera Verde in Pasig City on Thursday, November 27.

The NU 107 Rock Awards will honor bands that shape, influenced and pioneered Pinoy Rock and also celebrate the night of the rock gods.

To make the night more rocking, 10 of the country's most popular bands, Urbandub, Sandwich, Radio Active Sago Progect, Rico Blanco, Pupil, Markus Highway, The Dawn, Greyhoundz, Razorback and Bamboo-will be there for live performances.

The best bands and individual acts in the country that will be judged through online polls and text voting, will be competing for the following categories:

Side A, the country's premiere band, is back with a brand new video for their brand new digital exclusive single under MCH Music, "Die just a Little."

The video, which is directed by Treb Monteras, features the 5 band members in a soaring ode about love lost, depicting each member’s unique vision of falling out of love. The theme of heartbreak and heartache is recurrent and is seen through each member's eyes.

Mamma Mia, The Movie Soundtrack is a certified runway hit, it has reached gold in less than three weeks in the Philippines. While in US, it rules in the Billboard, iTunes and Amazon Charts.

In addition, its debut marked the highest charting week ever in history for an ABBA recording. The music continues to resonate with audiences of all ages and these recordings have taken on a life of their own, a comment given by Chris Roberts of Decca Label Group.

This month, ABS-CBN's music channel MYX via its OPM MYX, will pay tribute to the Eraserheads, considered one of the best Filipino bands in the local music industry.

For this month, the music channel is all about the Eraserheads. They will showcase music videos of the different offshoot groups originating from the band.

Despite of their popularity and status, the group is as determined and as hardworking as before especially with their third album "Driven".

The album, which is released under Sonny BMG Music Entertainment, produced the hit lead single BMD which made its way to the music charts and experienced heavy airplay on radio stations nationwide. There is something to look forward to again to Cueshe as they release the 2nd single off the album titled "There Was You". This heartwarming track was written by vocalist-guitarist, Ruben Caballero, who was inspired by the song “I’d Rather” of Luther Vandross, to write the said single.
