Rogelio Penaverde, Junior, a scholar of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York, is an ascending young Filipino tenor. He has richer and fuller voice that has brilliant timbre like other tenor in the Philippines. He is a music scholar at this time and not much skilled through practice. That must serve as an invitation to complete to this young Filipino tenor.Penaverde was a product of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Conservatory of Music. He is a son of tenor Rogelio Penaverde, Sr. and soprano Solita Baldeo. His parents have performed in operas and musicals and both are parts of the Serenata Singers and other organized groups of singers. The good report of recent event is that the young Filipino tenor has been drawn for a summer program in Rome by July, where he will perform the lead character of Camino in Mozart's The Magic Flute. This summer program will be a good opportunity for Penaverde to show his talent and current most excellent performance. |
