With the early death of one of the Philippine's great artists, Francis "Kiko" Magalona, Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), pays homage to the master rapper by listing down the five leagues that the public would certainly remember the most.Master Rapper - no one else followed Kiko's footsteps in terms of popularity as a rapper and performance. Until the end, Francis M was the undisputed king of the local rap scene. Music - his legacy is the music he left behind. His songs will always leave a lasting imprint in the hearts of everyone. Who can forget Mga Kababayan Ko? Patriotism - with his songs, Francis M is always reminding his kababayan how great it is to be a Filipino even before Bamboo's Hoy Pinoy Ako. He also coined the phrase, The Three Stars and a Sun, in his clothing line. Bagets - before he was hailed as a king of the local rap scene, he was the first and foremost an aspiring actor. Kiko was part of the second batch of the legendary coming-out youth film, Bagets in 1984. Family Man - Kiko was described as a devoted husband to his wife, Pia Arroyo and a dedicated father to his eight children. [via] |
