The reigning king of the novelty songs and a close friend of Manny Pacquiao in real life, Lito Camo started his career as a musician after Boom Dayupay, then involved with the R&B band Kulay. These introduced him to a number of recording studious.
In 1997, his first single hit, Kung Ikaw ay Nalulumbay, was released by BMG Filipinas (now Sony-BMG). The succeeding years saw Camo reaping fame and fortune as a prolific novelty song writer.
Now, his latest composition marks a nationalistic turn, Lahing Pinoy. Pacquiao recorded it in Los Angeles California with Camo and GMA Network Executives Wilma Galvante and Redgie Magno last March.
