After six years of waiting, Rachel Alejandro, recording artist, stage actress and entrepreneur, now come up with a new album, Believe. The album, which is describes as a pop album, includes 13 best tracks such as "Tayo Pa Ba?," "Bakit Hindi Tayo?" (penned by Cholo Escano), "Hanggang" (an Amber-Marcus Davis collaboration) and "The Rain" (written by Rachel herself). The remakes are "You Were There" (by Southern Sons done in duet with her father, Hajji Alejandro), "Xanadu" (Olivia Newton John), "Don't Stop Believing" (Journey) "Alone" (Heart) and "There's A Fine, Fine Line" (from the musical Avenue Q).
Believe is easy to listen with since it showcases the works of some of OPM’s finest songwriters and producers. Rachel was able to give her voice a rest for the past six years which allows her to use its full strength and range for this album so it's worth the wait. The album, which is under Sony Music Entertainment, is launched last March 7 in ASAP XV. Meanwhile, aside from promoting her new album, Rachel is preparing for their US shows in April with Geneva Cruz. She is also about to take skating lessons in preparation for her role in the musical play Xanadu that will be staged this September at the RCBC Plaza. [via sonymusicphil.wordpress.com] |
