Aiza Seguerra's Perhaps Love Album
Written by Cherry
Friday, 28 May 2010

Few weeks from now Filipino singer, Aiza Seguerra will soar in the Asian market. She sets to put out her latest album in Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and here in the Philippines. The Perhaps Love album is under S2S Music and Star Records. It was launched on ASAP last May 23, and another launching will happen via a special show at Zirkoh Tomas Morato on June 19, 2010.

Seguerra became Asia's music darling when her CD, Open Arms (Asian Edition) got the 1st slot in Singapore and reached Platinum in 2008. Her latest CD entitled Perhaps Love is consists of remakes rendered in acoustic version. The two Chinese and Japanese hits (She's Gone and Ellie My Love, respectively) are also in the album. Both songs have English lyrics to consider them as universal songs. Last May 18, during an interview with Bulletin Entertainment and selected members of the press, Seguerra said artistry is above commerce as far as she is concerned. As long as people listen to the album like what they hear now, that's the only thing that really matters to me, she said. She is not concerned with the sales of her album or even awards or titles. As a proof, Aiza did not make a decision for the sales of her first album, Pagdating ng Panahon. At present that album was recounted to qualify for a Diamond Record Award. It already sold 200,000 copies long before the Philippine Association of the Record Industry, Inc (PARI) adjusted the measure of a Platinum award from 40,000 copies sold to just 20,000.

Her album's title track not only became the Song of the Year, but it transitioned the artist from has been child star to recording artist. Check these Mall tour schedule: at SM Fairview on May 23; The Block on May 28; SM Bacoor on June 13; Robinson's Manila on June 17; Sta Lucia East on June 19; SM Marilao on June 20; SM Tarlac on June 25; SM Baguio on June 26; SM Rosales on June 27; and Starmills Pampanga on July 3.
